Accused prostitute grabs officer's testicles to avoid being arrested

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - During an undercover operation Thursday, an officer was injured while trying to arrest an accused prostitute at the Springhill Suites Marriott on Essen Park Avenue in Baton Rouge.

Around 2 p.m. Thursday, detectives met with 22-year-old Corneesha Nelson, who is listed as "Jasmine" on the Backpage website. Detectives previously arranged to meet with "Jasmine" earlier in the day.

Nelson told the officer he would receive "full sex" for $100 and anything he wanted for $150. She also told him it would be an extra $100 for a "two girl special," according to the police report.

The second girl, 26-year-old Ericka Hayes, who is listed as "Nina" on the backpage website, was waiting in the downstairs lobby.

Once an agreement was met, the officer pulled out his badge and told Nelson she was under arrest. He then called a second detective in to place Hayes in custody and bring her to the room.

The affidavit of probable cause says Nelson began to cry. Hayes then jumped over the bed, grabbed the phone and began to dial a number to make a call. She would not put down the phone after the officer instructed her to do so. Hayes then told Nelson to run.

The police report says Nelson ran out of the room, down the hallway to the stairs. The second detective ran after Nelson.

The first officer was trying to control Hayes because she was kicking and slapping him. The officer kept trying to place Hayes under arrest when she began to scream for help. That is when Hayes "reached out and grabbed the detective's left testicle and twisted it." The officer went to the ground in pain, but then got up and "began to straight punch Hayes in the body and head, trying to get her to comply."

Hayes then bit the detective's wrist, drawing blood.

The second detective came back into the room with Nelson in custody and helped the first detective get Hayes under control. The police reports say Hayes continued to fight both of them to get away. Once the struggle was over, both women were booked into the parish prison.

Hayes was charged with prostitution, battery of a police officer and resisting an officer. She was also wanted on a bench warrant. She is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond.

Nelson was charged with prostitution and resisting arrest.
