LSU running back Leonard Fournette is the No. 7 player in the country in a poll of ESPN writers, editors and analysts.
Fournette received a score of 8.63 on a scale of 0-10.
"It took a few games, but the Class of 2014's No. 1 recruit eventually displayed the potential that LSU fans had expected all along," the panel said of Fournette. "The turning point was his 140-yard, two-touchdown effort in a midseason win at Florida."
Speaking of Florida, junior defensive back Vernon Hargreaves III is ranked No. 4. Other SEC players joining Fournette and Hargreaves III in the top 10 are sophomore running back Nick Chubb (No. 6) of Georgia and junior offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil (No. 9) of Ole Miss.
LSU senior offensive lineman Vadal Alexander is ranked No. 42, senior defensive back Jalen Mills No. 60 and sophomore safety Jamal Adams No. 69.
