WALKER, LA (WAFB) - Summer has officially ended for the kids in two more Baton Rouge area parishes, as they head back to school Friday.
It is the first day of school in Livingston and St. Helena parishes. Walker High School is allowing access to its campus for a look at how students are getting back to learning.
Walker High has partnered with many community businesses like Gerry Lane, Cane's, Walker Tire, State Farm and more to assist with programs on campus.
There is a student-run Neighbors Federal Credit Union on campus, a cookie store, an auto mechanics program and much more.
Also, a student crew broadcasts all of the school's home football games live on cable. The students also sell ads and produce the commercials to air during the broadcasts.
