BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a woman for her fourth DWI after a chemical test showed her BAC to be .250%.
Officials say they received a complaint that Angela Guillory, 44, was driving erratically. When deputies tried to pull her over, she refused to stop. She then stopped on Liberty Road, but then took off when a deputy approached her vehicle. When she took off from Liberty Road, she did not have her headlights on. Documents say she swerved across the center line several times and vehicles had to swerve off the road to avoid her.
Deputies say she finally stopped in the 21000 block of Carson Road where she was handcuffed. The deputy noticed a strong odor of alcohol and reported Guillory had trouble speaking and standing.
Guillory performed poorly on a field sobriety test and was charged with DWI. Deputies found a 150ml bottle of Bacardi, which Guillory admitted to drinking just before being stopped. She also told deputies earlier that night she was at Superior Grill drinking while celebrating a friend's birthday with some friends.
Guillory was taken to the EBRSO Central Substation where she was given a chemical breath test. The test results showed her BAC to be more than three times the legal limit of .08%.
Documents show Guillory has been arrested three other times since December 2011. She was charged with 4th offense DWI, driving under suspension, flight from an officer, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, headlights required, driving over a median and possession of alcohol in a vehicle.
Guillory was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where she is being held on a $30,100 bond.
