BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge Police are still investigating an early morning shooting that left three people dead.

Police say the shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of Jefferson Ave.

A woman living there says she heard about ten gunshots, walked out her front door and saw three dead bodies in her driveway.

When police arrived they found the 24-year-old Kevin Ford, 25-year-old Fredrick Corner, and 23-year-old Antoine Harris suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

In what is continuing to be a deadly summer, some neighbors say part of the solution to stop the violence is calling on a higher power.

"We need the love of God in our hearts so we can share that abroad, in our neighborhood, and in our homes, and in our schools and everywhere," said Jesse Chase.

"We all need to get on our knees and start praying that things will get better. Trying to solve things ourselves, it ain't going to work," said Jeremy Williams.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP.
