Police search for second suspect wanted in convenience store armed robbery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store.

The Baton Rouge Police Department is looking for Trevarion Jackson, 18. He is described as 6'0" tall and 150 pounds.

According to investigators, he walked into a store on June 29 and started browsing. They added a short time later, another man walked in and jumped over the counter.

Police said the second man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the clerk. They reported he took money and cigarettes from the clerk. Authorities said the gunman and Jackson both ran out of the store.

According to detectives, the investigation revealed Jackson and the other man are close friends. They added the two posted pictures of themselves together on social media.

Investigators reported Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of the alleged gunman, Tramel Maten. Jackson remains on the loose.

Police also said Jackson and Maten were arrested together on an unrelated charge after the convenience store robbery.
