BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A free summer camp is being held in Baton Rouge for children.
The Neighborhood Arts Project gives local children the opportunity to learn about art through fun hands-on activities.
People with the LSU Museum of Art gave the young artists the chance to paint and play games while also making friends.
"The idea about this art project is how to engage children in something that's positive, and something they can then expand and take home," said Lucy Perera.
"Kids get a chance to not just learn art projects, but they build relationships with us. And ultimately, we have a bigger impact by building those relationships with the kids," Dasjon Jordan.
For those interested in attending the camp, there are three sessions each week and is open to all ages.
