LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) -

Lafayette Police have released photos of the theater shooter's vehicle, in hopes that anyone who may have seen the vehicle or can associate the vehicle with John Russell Houser.

John Houser, 59, killed two women and injured nine others at the Grand 16 theater before killing himself on Thursday, July 23, 2015 around 7 p.m. Officials say about 100 people were inside the theater room at the time of the shooting.

Authorities have said they don't know Houser's motive.

Houser drove a 1995 Lincoln Continental to the movie theater and parked near an exit. Authorities believe he had every intention of leaving the theater after the shooting.

Col. Mike Edmonson with Louisiana State Police said after the shooting, suspicious items were found in Houser's vehicle. Investigators blew out the windows and trunk to make sure no other threats existed. No explosive devices were found.

Anyone with any additional information regarding Houser is encouraged to call Lafayette Police at 337-291-8600.
