NEW YORK - Former LSU great and Minnesota Lynx guard Seimone Augustus was selected as a starter for the Western Conference in Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

For Augustus, it marks the third consecutive season and the sixth time overall that the Baton Rouge native has been named a WNBA All-Star. She will not play in Saturday's game televised by ABC and has missed Minnesota's last three games due to an injury.

Augustus, an All-WNBA selection in each of the last four seasons, has secured 15.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game over her 13 starts this season. She has poured in double figures in 12 of 13 outings highlighted by a trio of 20-plus point efforts.

Augustus is one of 13 players in WNBA history to amass 4,500 points, 900 rebounds, 500 assists, 200 steals and 100 blocks. She recently moved into 16th place on the league's all-time scoring list and has 4,784 career points which is a Minnesota franchise record.
