BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge woman was sentenced to 38 months in federal prison after being convicted of nine counts of wire fraud.
Lori S. Fry, 47, was also ordered to make restitution to her victims totaling approximately $465,444, and will be required to forfeit the proceeds of her criminal scheme. She will be placed on supervised release after serving her prison sentence.
Fry began working at inoLECT in Baton Rouge in 2006.
Court documents show from April 2009 through August 2012, Fry was a manager and bookkeeper at the firm. She diverted more than 100 separate payments from the company's bank account to her own personal bank account or to pay her credit cards.
Fry created false entries in the company's internal records to advance and conceal her scheme. In total, she embezzled approximately $465,000 from the company's bank account.
