PHILADELPHIA, PA (WAFB) -
Former LSU Tiger pitching ace Aaron Nola will make his Major League Baseball debut Tuesday night for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Nola's minor league record with Double-A Reading (Pa.) and Triple-A Lehigh Valley (Pa.) is 10-4 with a 2.39 ERA. The former Catholic High alum has struck out 92 batters in 109.1 innings of work this season.
The Phillies drafted Nola in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. He was the seventh overall pick of the draft.
Philadelphia (33-62) hosts the Tampa Bay Rays (47-48) at 7:05 p.m. ET in Citizens Bank Park.
