BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in a car early Tuesday morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Eddie Keys III, 33, was found dead in a car that ended up in the grass on South Acadian Thruway at Hundred Oaks Avenue around 2 a.m.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office ruled the death is a homicide. Detectives with BRPD said Keys had been shot several times. He was found in the driver's seat.
Crime scene tape had the entire street blocked off for nearly two hours while police investigated.
District Attorney Hillar Moore was on the scene as investigators collected evidence.
Police have not yet established a motive or identified a suspect.
