BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Citizens gathered to remember victims of a domestic shooting that took place over the weekend.
18-year-old Makayla Jones and 38-year-old Shawyn Lollis died when 20-year-old Marquiles Whaley opened fire on Sunday morning on North Donmoor.
"Death has no age, and absolutely no time," said one person who spoke at the vigil.
Dozens of people honored the memories of the victims by lighting candles and releasing balloons into the air. A memorial was set up at the site of the vigil.
Investigators say that the shooter injured another woman before turning the gun on himself.
