BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - NBA player and former LSU Tiger Glen "Big Baby" Davis began his Louisiana Literacy Tour at the Corporate Boulevard Raising Cane's.
The U-High alum started his Tuesday by surprising customers at the chicken restaurant's drive through window. Cane's presented Davis with a $15,000 check for his foundation.
"I just think it's an awesome opportunity to come in here and experience the Cane experience," said Davis. "I think Cane's is a great organization. They're doing great things all over the country. I appreciate Cane's letting me come in here and clown around, get to meet the customers and also eat the food."
The power forward for the Los Angeles Clippers also held a Meet and Greet and autograph signing.
The event marked the beginning of the fundraiser to benefit the Glen "Big Baby" Davis Foundation's "Booking It With Baby" campaign. On Wednesday, July 15, all 19 Greater Baton Rouge area Raising Cane's restaurants will donate a portion of sales to Davis's foundation.
