BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are investigating a murder-suicide that left three people dead and one person injured.
Police say the shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Donmoor Avenue. When police arrived they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds. Three of them were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth victim was taken to a nearby hospital where her condition is unknown.
The deceased victims of the shooting have been identified as 20-year-old Marquiles Whaley, 18-year-old Makayla Jones and 38-year-old Shawyn Lollis. The hospitalized victim has only been identified as a 36-year-old woman.
According to police Whaley shot Jones, Lollis and the other female victim before turning the gun on himself. Jones was Whaley's girlfriend.
The shooting is still under investigation.
