EBRSO arrests couple accused of killing a Zachary man

Detectives look into murdered sex offender's possible connection to suspects

ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office arrested two people Wednesday for the murder of a Zachary man who was found dead inside of his home Saturday.

Jace Crehan, 21, and Brittany Monk, 17, both of Denham Springs, are charged with second-degree murder.

Detectives took Crehan into custody Wednesday for questioning in the murder of Robert Noce Jr., 47, of Zachary. Investigators said he confessed that he entered Noce's home in the 3000 block of South Vernon Road, stabbed him and strangled him.

Crehan reportedly also admitted to detectives that he placed Noce's body into a plastic 55-gallon drum. Crehan allegedly told deputies that Monk was there during the incident and took part in it. Authorities said her DNA was found on evidence from the drum.

Crehan and Monk were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. They both have bonds set at $400,000.
