Louisville, KY (WAFB) - LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been named to the 2015 Paul Hornung Award Watch List.
In 2014, Fournette ran the ball 187 times for 1034 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.
As a freshman, Fournette caught seven passes out of the backfield for 127 yards and fielded 24 kickoffs for 625 yards and one touchdown.
The Paul Hornung Award, now in its sixth season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung, the Golden Boy. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award Banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health, to be held at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville in February 2016.
Fournette and the Tigers start the 2015 season against McNeese State on Saturday, Sept. 5 in Tiger Stadium.
