"The levee steps have all been pressure washed, and they repainted all of the seats on top of the levee. It's all been freshened up," said Davis Rhorer with the Downtown Development District. "You know, I don’t think people realize our steps can hold 60,000 people, so everyone gets a front row seat for the fireworks at night."
"It's just the people, they are amazing,” said Maxx D’Jorghi, general manager of the Jolie Pearl. "There’s always something going on downtown. There's always an event, and we are very excited."
"Downtown is booming right now, and we have a lot of development here,” said D’Jorghi. "Like new apartment buildings. The business is where it's at Downtown."
