BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Officials said two alleged child predators are behind bars as a result of two separate investigations.

Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said Christopher Cote, 32, of Covington, was arrested last week, while Danny Williams, 31, of Houma, was taken into custody this week.

Cote was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on one count of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 and 35 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles.

If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 25 years at hard labor for the molestation charge and up to 20 years for each of the child porn charges.

In a separate case, Williams was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail on one count of possession of pornography involving juveniles. A conviction carries up to 20 years in prison.

The Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit partnered with other law enforcement agencies in both investigations.
