Police release surveillance image of convenience store armed robber

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are asking for the public's help to identify the man who robbed a convenience store early Monday morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported the armed robbery happened at the Circle K on Coursey Boulevard near Stumberg Lane.

Detectives said the suspect walked in, jumped on the counter, pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to give him the money from the register.

According to police, the worker opened the register and the man grabbed the cash. He then ran away.

The suspect is believed to be between 19 and 22 years old. He was wearing a gray colored sweatshirt with a hood and blue jeans.
