Gov. Jindal talks to Baton Rouge media for first time since announcing campaign

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Since announcing that he is running for president on Wednesday, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has been on the campaign trail, making stops in New Hampshire and Iowa. The governor spoke with local media outlets on Saturday for the first time since announcing his campaign.

When asked if he would be able to govern Louisiana effectively while campaigning, Jindal said "Will I be able to continue to serve the people of Louisiana while I run for President? Absolutely," said Governor Jindal. "I stay in touch with my staff, my cabinet heads, we'll continue to do a great job for the people of Louisiana."

Since his announcement, Jindal has faced criticism from the Louisiana public, and from television stations like Comedy Central, who roasted Jindal on programs like The Daily Show With John Stewart.
