ALSEN, LA (WAFB) - A fire at a warehouse on Highway 61 is under investigation, according to Baton Rouge Fire spokesperson Curt Monte.
About a dozen firefighters from the Alsen, Baton Rouge, Zachary and Brownsfield fire departments were called out to take care of the fire.
The fire started around 5:30 p.m. in a storage facility for recycled rubber pellets in Alsen. The warehouse first caught fire yesterday and was somehow rekindled Tuesday afternoon.
No one was reported injured. Hwy 61 was shut down at one point while firefighters dealt with the fire.
The company is setting up a 24-hour sprinkler system to keep it from flaring up.
