BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police announce that the man accused of attempting to get a loan using his father's name has turned himself in.
Police say that Gabadiah Jemar McClay, 29, has turned himself in to authorities, one week after a press release went out calling for his arrest.
According to police, McClay gained access to his father's personal information in early February and used his identity without his knowledge or consent to acquire and auto loan totaling around $69,000.
McClay then also attempted to open two additional personal loans totaling around $22,000 but was denied after his application appeared suspicious.
McClay now faces forgery and theft charges.
