BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A memorial was held Thursday night to honor the life of a young man cut short by violence.
21-year-old Justin Guillory was shot and killed June 11 on Osborne Avenue near North Foster.
Family and friends held a candlelight vigil and balloon release outside Guillory's home on Woodwick Avenue off O'neal Lane.
His mother says she'll always remember her son as a sweet child.
"I raised him alone as a single parent and I mean he has done exceptionally well, you know in everything I am, was proud of him, still proud of him," said Guillory's mother.
No arrests have been made yet in the case. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7267.
