The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office needs the public's help finding two men they say attempted to steal from the Smoothie King in Prairieville.

Deputies say they responded to a call on Friday about an attempted theft at Smoothie King located on Highway 73.

According to deputies, two men entered the store together and placed an order. One of the men then began arguing with one of the employees about the amount of payment.

During the argument one of the men walked into the back office and attempted to break into the safe.

According to the employees, they later saw the man exit the office and walk through the parking lot of Dutchtown Primary School. They say they then saw the man get into the front passenger's side of a white sedan with chrome rims.

The suspect who was arguing with the employee is described as an older black male wearing a red collar shirt.

The other suspect who attempted to break into the safe is described as a black male wearing a purple baseball cap and a purple and white collar shirt.

The Sheriff's Office asks that if anyone has any information about this cause to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to their anonymous tip line or by calling Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
