ST. MARY PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Troop I has arrested a man and a woman in connection with the fatal hit and run accident that killed a Jeanerette woman in March.
Louisiana State Police have arrested 46-year-old Brian Timken and 25-year-old Kayla Norris for their roles in the fatal hit and run accident that killed 33-year-old Kista Sedotal.
Sedotal was killed when she was hit by a vehicle while walking on Louisiana Highway 182 in the early morning hours on March 13.
Investigators say that evidence from the scene led police to look for a Dodge Ram truck and numerous tips and leads led them to question Timken. Investigators determined that Timken was the driver of the truck that hit Sedotal and fled the scene.
Troopers also arrested Norris who struck Sedotal while she was in the roadway after the initial accident and fled the scene.
Both Timken and Norris were arrested without incident and booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail.
