WALKER, LA (WAFB) - Officials with the City of Walker have lifted the Emergency Water Conservation Plan.
As of 2 p.m. Saturday, residents of Walker will be able to use their water as they did before the alert went out on Thursday.
Fred Redford, Chief of Operations for the City of Walker, says that a temporary pump has been put in place and is now functioning at the main water well site. A sample submitted to the Department of Health and Hospitals yesterday came back clear today.
The City of Walker has been under the Emergency Water Conservation Plan since Thursday after the main water well that serves Walker stopped working.
