DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - Two people were arrested Monday after detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at the Village Inn Motel on Florida Ave. in Denham Springs.
During the search, detectives found marijuana, heroin, morphine tablets, methadone tablets, Xanax, and $851 in cash.
Curtis Warren, 36, of Franklinton, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I, two counts of possession of schedule II, possession of schedule IV, and resisting an officer. His bond has been set at $130,500.
Austin Shane Grayer, 23, of Walker, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I and resisting an officer. His bond has been set at $100,500.
"All narcotics seized were packaged for sale and the money was broken down into denominations which are consistent with distribution of illegal narcotics," said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. "Detectives also located numerous types of drug paraphernalia such as scales, packaging materials, and hypodermic needles."
