Louisiana senate passes bill that would put limit on secret governor's records

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A bill passed by the Senate on Saturday could let the public peek into the inner workings of the Governor's Office.

At the State Capitol, senators unanimously passed a bill that places new limits on the Governor's ability to keep their records a secret. The bill is now on Bobby Jindal's desk, and if he signs it, the new sanctions would go into place in 2016.

The bill would reverse a law approved by Jindal six years ago which allowed his office to keep private records.
