BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Congestion on I-10 is frustrating drivers and jamming traffic. Follow along with this story as the traffic situation develops.
Congestion remains on I-10 West from approximately five miles before Highway 607 in Mississippi to the I-10/I-59 split in Louisiana due to construction work in the area. Some drivers are reporting being stuck in traffic for well over an hour.
All lanes are open on I-10 East before the South Acadian Thruway. Traffic is backed up for about seven miles.
Congestion on I-10 East is now from milepost 148, before LA 415 (Lobdell), to Washington Street due to an earlier incident.
