ANGOLA, LA (WAFB) -

Angola warden Burl Cain announced that almost 400 inmates graduated from educational and vocational programs.

Angola inmates participated Thursday morning in a graduation ceremony that congratulated them on their success on completion of the HiSet GED program, and various vocational degree programs.

Warden Cain says that these programs are aimed at giving the graduating offenders a chance to re-enter society with a much better opportunity to become more successful in their communities. Cain says that this will lead to less victims of violent crimes as well as safer communities.
