A sex offender is wanted by Ascension Parish Sheriff's Officers after he failed to update his offender registration.

Dustin Sanders, 28, is known to officers as a "Tier I" Sex Offender who is also wanted for home invasion and theft charges.

According to a release from Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley, officers learned that Sanders did not update his place of living when performing a compliance check in May. They found that Sanders has not lived at his listed residence on Lambert Road for about six months.

Sanders was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in May 2009, and has been arrested eight times in the past on charges ranging from simple burglary, domestic abuse battery, and failure to register as a sex offender.

Detectives believe that Sanders may be in Tylertown, Mississippi, living with friends or family members.

The APSO says Dustin Sanders is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a large tattoo on his neck.
