BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man from Amarillo, TX has been arrested and charged with human trafficking and second degree kidnapping after a woman says she was forced to perform sexual acts and was being held against her will at a Baton Rouge motel.

According to reports from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, a deputy was called to the Super 8 Motel on Reiger Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday about a woman who had been assaulted by two females.

The victim told deputies she was being held against her will by 25-year-old Jordan Lawis Byers.

The victim also told deputies she was homeless when she met 32-year-old Desiree Sanders and 24-year-old Brittni Crabill. The victim met the females last Thursday and they introduced her to Byers. Sanders and Crabill introduced Byers as their "protector" and he took care of them. The victim states she did not know Sanders and Crabill engaged in prostitution.

The report states at some point Byers told the victim he was a pimp and she needed to fulfill a quota of $500 a night, answering requests for sexual favors from an ad he created for her on Backpage.com. Backpage is a website used for advertising prostitution. When the victim refused, she told deputies Byers showed her a black handgun and told her she didn't have a choice in the matter.

The report states Byers also took the victim's cell phone from her.

The victim says Byers forced her to go with him and Sanders to Amarillo, TX to engage in prostitution.

Byer's bond has been set at $150,000. Crabill and Sanders were both charged with simple battery and are being held on a $2,500 bond each.
