BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man originally charged with second degree murder has pleaded guilty to an amended charge of manslaughter and was sentenced to 25 years hard labor without the possibility of parole.
Jarret Lacey, 22, was gunned down in the front yard of his house around noon on Bellonia Drive near Staring Lane. on December 12, 2011.
Witnesses say they heard several shots fired and saw a man running from the area.
Joshua Dixon, who was 19-years-old at the time of the deadly shooting, surrendered to the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force days after the shooting.
