BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police arrested two teenagers in connection with an attempted armed robbery.

17-year-old Marquise Hebert, and 18-year-old Jayveyon Cropper were arrested on Wednesday on Victoria Drive after the victim stated that the two teens rode up to him on bikes and demanded him to empty his pockets.

The victim says that the only thing he had in his pockets was a screw driver, so he dropped it to the ground and ran to a bystander's yard, who then called the police.

When an officer arrived to Victoria Drive, he saw Hebert and Cropper riding on bikes. While conducting the stop, he found that Cropper was in possession of a small black firearm. Hebert was able to flee the scene, but was found at a house later in the day.

Both suspects were later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
