Man indicted for second degree murder in 2014 parking lot shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A murder indictment has come down for a suspect accused of fatally shooting a man in 2014.

Aljerard Warner, 19, was indicted for second degree murder for allegedly killing 19-year-old Derrell Marquis Haynes in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly on Choctaw Drive in December 2014.

Warner was arrested in January on first degree murder charges. According to an investigation done by Baton Rouge Police, Haynes was shot after a drug deal gone wrong.
