LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - Investigators said speed and impairment are possible factors in a single-vehicle crash that killed the driver early Wednesday morning.
Louisiana State Police reported Mark Lineske, 29, of Holden, died in a crash on LA 42 west of LA 63 in Livingston around 3:30 a.m.
Tpr. Bryan Lee with LSP said the initial investigation showed Lineske was heading east on LA 42 in a 2008 Ford F-150 that veered off the road in a curve, went into a ditch and hit a culvert.
Lineske was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner's Office. Per standard protocol for deadly crashes on Louisiana highways, a sample of his blood was sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation.
