ASCENSION PARISH, LA (WAFB) - A viewer was so touched by the kindness shown by sheriff's deputies to a man in hospice care that she sent in pictures.
Deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office visited Turk because he always wanted to be a police officer.
He suffers from esophageal and stomach cancer, so he can't really communicate.
Shekema Leblanc with APSO organized the visit and Deputy Johnny Darville gave Turk a pin, promising to check on him.
Beverly Ellison sent in the photos. She is one of Turk's neighbors.
