Walker Police launch annual school uniform drive

WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

The Walker Police Department has launched their annual “From Our Uniform to Yours” school uniform drive.

The department says now through the end of June, they will be accepting donations of new and used  school uniforms. They are also accepting monetary donations and gift cars from local uniform vendors.

There will be donation bins around the city at Walker Baptist Church, Walgreens, Quick and Handy Cleaners, Carter's Supermarket and Winn Dixie. Only uniform pants, shirts, skirts, shorts and other uniform pieces will be accepted at these locations.

Uniforms, monetary donations and gift cards from uniform vendors can be dropped off at the Walker Police department at 13179 Burgess Avenue. Monetary donations can also be mailed to their P.O. Box 988 or sent through PayPal.

Walker police ask that you don't send any cash donations by mail.
