Traffic slows in regular places for morning commute

7:42 a.m. - Police are on the scene of a crash on Acadian Thruway North between Gus Young Avenue and Washington Avenue.

7:40 a.m. - I-12 West slows from the Amite River Bridge to Sherwood Forest Boulevard. I-10 West slows right past Prairieville to Highland Road. There is also a little "brake-tapping" on I-10 West right past College Drive. Traffic is slow on the LA 1 ramp to I-10 East.

7:13 a.m. - Police are investigating a crash on Airline Highway at Evangeline Street in Baton Rouge.

6:13 a.m. - Traffic is flowing better on I-10 West and I-12 West, but there is still some "brake-tapping" on I-10 West at Acadian Thruway, which is the site of an earlier crash.

5:50 a.m. - All lanes of I-10 reopen following crash at Acadian Thruway in which a vehicle overturned and there was at least one reported injury. Drivers should be aware there are still some heavy delays in the area, as it will take time for traffic to return to normal following the lane blockages.

5:30 a.m. - The delays from an overturned vehicle on I-10 West at Acadian Thruway has traffic backed up to Essen Lane on I-10 and Essen Lane on I-12. Alternate roads are Airline Highway, Jefferson Highway, Government Street, Florida Boulevard, Nicholson Street and Perkins Road.

4:50 a.m. - The right and two center lanes are blocked on I-10 West near Acadian Thruway due to an overturned vehicle. The crash is causing heavy delays on I-10 and I-12.
