POINTE COUPEE PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Officials with the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating a school bus fire that happened Monday night.
Deputies received a call the bus was on fire at the old Pointe Coupee Central High, where the bus was being housed.
Authorities say it looks like it could be arson.
"Where the fire was, it looked like some accelerant was poured on the vehicle when it was set fire. So we have reason to believe that it just didn't start burning on its own," said Sheriff Bud Torres.
Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation. None of the other buses were damaged by the fire.
