BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Ascension Parish Sheriffs Office is investigating a possible drowning in Geismar on Sunday afternoon.

Officials say that deputies responded to the intersection of Canterbury Park Drive and Audubon Park in the Dutchtown subdivision. Witnesses say that 17-year-old Malcom Calloway went swimming, and never surfaced.

The Gonzales Dive Team was sent out, and as of 6 p.m., Calloway has not been found.

According to APSO Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, the water where Calloway was last seen is 16 feet deep at its deepest point.
