BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a man who scamming people out of their money.
Detectives say 32-year-old Dustin Gant is wanted for 2 counts of misdemeanor theft and theft of the assets of an aged person.
According to the police, Gant went to various Baton Rouge homes under the pretense of performing different jobs. He did not to complete the jobs after receiving the money.
In September 2014, Gant was convicted for felony theft of the assets of an aged person.
Police believe there are other victims in the Baton Rouge area. They encourage anyone who may have been scammed or who may know Gant's whereabouts to call BRPD's Financial Crimes Division at (225) 389-3871 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
