BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Participants in the annual Tour du Rouge are nearing the end of their journey.
Bikers pedal from Houston to New Orleans to raise money for the American Red Cross along the Gulf Coast. The ride is six days and covers 533 miles.
It was developed in 2008 and originally planned for October of that year, but Hurricane Ike forced the event to be rescheduled for May of the following year.
Organizers said people are always excited about seeing the cyclists pass through their area.
