NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) -
Shortly after the NFL Draft ended, the New Orleans Saints quickly signed 13 undrafted free agents.
The team agreed to terms on three-year contracts with Tavaris Barnes (DL), Kaleb Eulls (DL), Ashaad Mabry (DL), Bobby Richardson (DL), Doniel Gambrell (OL), Cyril Lemon (OL), R.J. Harris (WR), Malcolme Kennedy (WR), Sean Hickey (OL), Marcus Pierce-Brewster (LB), Stephon Sanders (LB), Harold Spears (TE) and Jack Tabb (TE).
NFL draft analyst Chad Reuter released his “top five undrafted free-agent classes following the 2015 NFL Draft” on Thursday and the Saints made the list at No. 2, right behind the Baltimore Ravens.
Reuter likes the Saints free agents because, "Even though the Saints picked Stanford tackle Andrus Peat in the first round, the team needs more talent throughout the line -- so picking up the underrated Gambrell and Hickey after the draft was key. Richardson, Barnes and Eulls all have a good chance of eating up one or two spots on New Orleans' front line-depth chart."
The Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts finished out the top five classes.
