BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Louisiana International Film Fest begins in Baton Rouge with a Melissa McCarthy film, "Spy Movie." Cinemark Perkins Rowe is your headquarters for this four-day event with a stellar lineup of international movies.

The LIFF plans a schedule of mentorship seminars for movie makers and production teams. It has advertised at Sundance Film Festival as a fest whose time has arrived. It held a party for filmmakers during the high activity days of Sundance for Louisiana schmoozing. LIFF brags that Louisiana did a $200,000,000 amount of Hollywood South business last year.

Sunday, LIFF is proud to present a special closing night concert featuring the Louisiana International Film Festival Symphony Orchestra at 5:30 pm in the Great Hall courtyard area right outside of the Cinemark Theatre. It will add extra glitz to the final night. The concert will be free and open to the public to enjoy the greatest music hits from your favorite movies past and present like "Somewhere over the rainbow", "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter". Mother's Day on the red carpet for a unique movie going experience. LIFF is honoring women of the world with its 2015 festival theme "Year of the Woman". Bring your own chairs and blankets for enjoyment on the grass in the town square area across from the theatre.
