BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory for a missing 2-year-old girl whose mother was found dead Monday night.
The missing girl is identified as A'Kyleana Latham. She is described as 2'6" tall and weighs about 30 pounds.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said the body of Taylor Latham, 24, was discovered inside a car on Louisiana Avenue around 7:45 p.m. According to investigators, she had been shot in the head. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Police said Latham and her daughter moved to Baton Rouge from Texas just a few months ago.
They believe the shooting happened sometime Saturday night and A'Kyleana, also known as AK, has not been seen since then.

The Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory is issued in special cases of a missing child that do not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.
