BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A bounty hunter charged in a 2011 shooting pleaded guilty on Wednesday.
Demarcus McKnight was charged with unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling, aggravated battery, and illegal use of a weapon in 2011 when he allegedly shot a woman inside of a Ridgewood Drive home.
The trial was supposed to start on Monday, May 4, but McKnight pleaded guilty on Wednesday, April 29. His sentencing date is set for June 26.
The second person arrested in this case, Anthony Thomas, pleaded guilty in March 2014. He was sentenced to three years of probation, and 40 hours of community service.
