Baton Rouge police arrested and charged a man with a 5th offense DWI.
Police say that 58-year-old Brent Scott was driving eastbound on Gus Young Avenue when an officer noticed that he was not wearing a seat belt.
During the traffic stop, the officer noted that Scott held a strong odor of alcohol, poor balance, blood shot eyes, and slurred speech.
Police say that Scott performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and failed a BAC breath test, blowing a .171% BAC.
Scott was also found to have a suspended driver's license after multiple DWI arrests. He was arrested and booked into jail on a $52,000 bond.
