Danielle Hunter drafted in the 3rd round by the Vikings

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Former LSU defensive end Danielle Hunter has been drafted by the Minnesota Vikings with the 24th pick of the 3rd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. 

The Vikings traded down twice from the 76th selection, getting a pick in the sixth round from Kansas City and another in the fifth from Detroit.

In his three years with LSU, Hunter played in 38 games, starting 23 straight games.

The defensive end out of Katy, TX, finished his career at LSU with 142 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. 

Hunter is the second Tiger to be selected in the draft. Jalen Collins was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round.
